We’re thrilled to announce the return of Botton Milk – fresh, local, and full of purpose.
For many years, the cows at Botton Village, one of our founding Camphill Village Trust communities, provided milk for the site – a cherished tradition that paused just before the Covid-19 pandemic. But now, we’re bringing it back, and it’s better than ever.
This isn’t just milk. It’s part of a wider farm-to-fork story rooted in our ethos of meaningful work, connection to nature, and therapeutic Green Care.
Milk with a mission
From caring for the cows to milking and processing, the people we support are involved at every stage. The milk will be pasteurised in the Botton creamery as part of our food preparation and processing activity – a core element of our Green Care programme, which supports adults with learning and other disabilities through purposeful work and connection to the land.
This is nature-based therapy in action – offering structure, learning, and real contribution.
Available in the shop and on your table
The newly relaunched Botton Milk will be available to buy in the Botton Village shop, and we’re excited to say that our Botton café will be using it too – so every tea and coffee will now have that extra local touch.
Our cheese, made on site by the creamery team, is also getting the spotlight it deserves. As part of the relaunch, the team have been hand-delivering samples of milk and cheese to those in our Botton Village community and the general public.
Even better, Botton cheese will soon be available in all our social enterprise cafés across our communities nationwide, so more people can enjoy the care, craft, and connection behind each bite.
A taste of Botton Village
Bringing back Botton Milk is about so much more than what’s in the bottle. It’s a shining example of how our land, our staff and adults we support work hand in hand – a true farm-to-fork model, where everyone plays a valued role.
